“I like
the fact that the opportunity to implement new processes or enhance
current ones is encouraged.”
Why did you accept a job here?
The position I applied for provided me an opportunity to apply my prior
experience and learn a new system at the same time. It made me realize
that I could contribute to the organization’s growth. I also felt that
the employees’ longevity and diversity was reflective of a healthy work
environment – and of Rush’s commitment to ensure their employees’ growth
and welfare.
What do you do at Rush?
I’m a Senior Analyst in the Decision Support department. My team is responsible
for the operation and maintenance of one of Rush’s financial systems.
We report on the organization’s performance based on a combination of
clinical outcomes and financial results. We also help administration and
management teams to make sound financial and operational decisions by
providing information.
Describe the people you work with.
I work with professionals that are committed to good customer service.
We work as a team to resolve roadblocks, both within my department and
others. I like that management’s longevity helps new employees like me
navigate the system and seek assistance through the right channels.
What do you think about the work environment?
I feel comfortable to express my concerns and observations to my director
– and I feel that my observations are not ignored. I like the fact that
the opportunity to implement new processes or enhance current ones is
encouraged.
What does your future look like at Rush?
I believe that new opportunities will be present to ensure that I will
grow professionally by improving my technical, interpersonal and operational
skills. I look forward to continuing to be a part of this organization
and to keep on making a difference.
