At Rush, our patients’ health is our number one priority. Equally important is the security, accuracy and organization of our center’s medical information. Our Health Information Management group is responsible for the completion, storage and retrieval of our patients’ medical records. We also manage coded information for hospital staff, outside agencies and patients. It’s a dynamic culture – each day is never the same. Whether it’s a new way to code records or new equipment to master, there’s always something to learn. Soon, all of our medical records and information systems will be entirely electronic. This will ensure more efficient recordkeeping and tracking – as well as provide our associates with the most advanced technology in which to develop their skills. From on-the-job training to seminars to workshops, we’re always building our team's knowledge and talents.
