“I like
the variety my job affords me, as well as the learning and teaching
that takes place.”
Why did you accept a job here?
I was fortunate that as a temp at Rush, I experienced the staff, the patients,
the work flow – and saw first-hand the concern and the compassion for
the patients.
What do you do at Rush?
I perform general and vascular ultrasound studies in both the Inpatient
and Ambulatory departments. Recently, I assumed the position of Co-Coordinator
of the Quality Assurance Program for Radiology.
What do you think about the work environment?
I like the variety my job affords me, as well as the learning and teaching
that takes place. It’s usually fast paced around here, and I enjoy that.
Tell us about a good day at work.
I enjoy people, and I like being able to put them at ease. Many patients
are apprehensive about the tests they’re scheduled for, and it makes me
feel good when I can help them to relax and smile.
Share something your patients have told you
about Rush.
“This is such a caring place.” “I wouldn’t go anywhere else for health
care. I trust the doctors and staff at Rush.” “Rush is wonderful!”
What does your future look like at Rush?
I hope to work at Rush until I retire. It’s a stimulating atmosphere.
I’ve experienced Rush both as a patient and as a caregiver – and I will
always recommend Rush to family, friends and acquaintances. I plan to
continue to progress educationally and professionally at Rush.
