“I love
working here, and if it’s possible, I would like to retire here.”
How did you first connect with Rush University
Medical Center?
I wanted to establish a career, not just a job. I started here as an OR
restock tech.
What do you do at Rush?
I assist in the development and maintenance of network communications.
I also test and evaluate the network system to make improvements and eliminate
problems.
Describe the people you work with.
The people I work with are very friendly and helpful. We all will work
together to get a job done.
What do you think about the work environment?
I like the fact that I get to do what I went to school for. There are
moments that can be a little overwhelming, but that’s exactly as I expected
it to be.
Tell us about a good day at work.
A really great day for me was the first time I built and deployed my first
switch. I built it from scratch, so to see that it functioned properly
was very rewarding.
What does your future look like at Rush?
Within the next four years, I would like to be in a supervisory position
or managerial role. I love working here, and if it’s possible, I would
like to retire here.
