At Rush, our students are not only our future – they’re the future of health care. That’s why we take particular pride in our Nursing Students. We provide them with plenty of opportunities to build their confidence, sharpen their skills, and get off on the right foot when it comes to beginning their career. We give them the chance to see all their career options first-hand, while they gain valuable, practical experience. Our Nursing Assistant preceptor path allows our nursing students to shadow and work under the guidance of an RN on the unit. It provides a solid base for our students, as they learn to work independently. Our nursing managers hold our Nursing Assistants’ experience in high regard, which benefits our students as they eventually apply for nursing positions at Rush. Our nursing students are exposed to virtually every situation that our RNs would experience – which means they too are responsible for the same level of nursing excellence as our award-winning nurses.
